ARBRE
January 2021. The Bern based collective ARBRE awakens in the middle of a health crisis. Coincidence or destiny, the three musicians hit it off immediately and, very quickly, the group creates a repertoire between acoustic and electronic music, where writing and improvisation are intertwined.
After a few summer concerts, including a concert at the BeJazz Sommer, the band recorded its first album Lunaires, which will be released on March 31, 2022 on the label Unit Records. For this album, the group draws its inspiration from different influences: Radiohead, Colin Vallon Trio, Arve Enriksen, Kneebody or Erik Satie.
However, the group claims a strong identity, rich in sound and space, in which melody and groove resonate deep within us. ARBRE, just hatched, presents its first album among others at the Cully Jazz Festival and the bee-flat im PROGR in April 2022.
