Nagy Emma Quintet
The diversity of the members of the Nagy Emma Quintet is a unity of sound. Their music is a mixture of mainstream jazz, alternative rock and classical music.
Their own compositions take the form of contemporary jazz played in strict and more open forms.
The band's first two albums - Set to Face (2019), Low Frequency Oscillator (2020) - have won top prizes at the Müpa Jazz Showcase, JazzJuniors in Krakow and Babel Laureate competitions, and have been selected for the Getxo Jazz Festival in the Basque Country.

The third album of the Nagy Emma Quintet, Synced, released in 2022, is not a vocal jazz album in the traditional sense.
While Emma's sensitive voice and strong character clearly set the mood for the album, the five musicians are equal partners on most of the songs, and each contributes to the emerging soundscape as a composer, too.
Their music draws from many sources, and at first listen, the most obvious influences are contemporary classical, electronic and rock music, with jazz being the medium in which they all blend together.
The sound of Synced and the final shape of the songs are a testimony to the work of producer and sound engineer Márton Fenyvesi, who was present as a sixth member during the sessions.
The album features Kornél Fekete-Kovács on flugelhorn and trumpet, and his playing brings an exciting new colour to the music.
